Guiding Principles,
Practices and
Ethics Of MyCelticRings
My name is Hugh Brecher, I am the CEO at My Celtic Rings, Inc. I take personal, professional, and full responsibility for all aspects of my Celtic jewelry business. That is my picture in the box below:
My opinion it is that it is fair and appropriate that anyone interested in doing business with my company know exactly where we stand on issues of business ethics, principles and practices. What you will read below is not hype, fantasy, lies or falsifications of any kind whatsoever. Our standards and practices do not just seem exceptionally high, they really are exceptionally high. They are also very difficult to follow; this too is true, but these are our actual standards and it is they that provide the foundation of our exceptional reputation and success in the industry.
If you take a few minutes to examine the customer reports on file with ePublicEye, you will find that they are in full agreement with the many email testimonials sent us by our customers over the years. We usually feature a few of the more recent customer emails at the bottom area of our main home page.
The Golden Rule is this: "Do unto others as you would want them to do unto you." Treating others as you wish to be treated is a moral imperative. It is not always easy to follow, especially in business, We take it very seriously, and there is no doubt in my mind that it produces greater happiness for all concerned. We are concerned about our spiritual progress and personal growth; we can't make progress by providing mere "lip service" to hight moral and ethical values.
Another rule is that we must respond quickly and honestly to all visitor and customer questions and concerns. We seriously try to treat each customer as though they are the only customer that we have. You can be sure that this is same way that I would like to be treated by others.
Treat each person as though they were beloved old friends being sure to put their best interests first. This often means explaining that their interests would be better served by shopping somewhere else. Good service does not mean always making a sale. We always try to be good samaritans.
We will not compromise with quality. Handcrafting unique and beautiful Celtic jewelry is not at all easy. Machine made jewelry is much easier to produce but lacks the life, charm, beauty, and meaning, of hand made jewelry. We want each piece that we make be a treasured future heirloom. We always do our best to make jewelry that we ourselves would be proud to wear. All of the materials that we use in our shop are 1st quality. No recycled (scrap) gold or silver. Our gold is "plumb" gold; it is exactly the advertised karat weight described on our pages. This means that 14K Gold is not less than 14K and that 18K Gold is not less than 18K; our silver is always .925 Tarnish Resistant Sterling, the best that money can buy. We will not cut corners. Are we perfect? Of course not, but if we did not strive for perfection we would be settling for mediocrity; "good enough" is just NOT good enough for us.
We will not deliberately or knowingly make any promises that we can't keep. This includes the timing of shipments and deliveries. In more than 5 years our on time delivery rating is still 100%. Sometimes we are obliged to refuse orders because we are not able to make and deliver them as soon as a potential customer wants them delivered.
Our approach to security provides safe browsing on our site, safe ordering, protection from identity theft, safety of credit card data and other vulnerable personal information. A large part of out business investment is in securing our servers, our computers, our shopping carts and much more. Is it safe to shop at MCR? You can bet your identity that it is.
We are in business for "the long haul". We would be plain foolish to sacrifice our business future for short term profits. We absolutely recognize the value of your future purchases and those of friends and family that you may recommend to us. We want to be in your future and we want you you all to be in ours. This means that we must take excellent care of you now so that we may have you as our customers for the long haul. We want to be your family's Celtic jewelers and are truly happy to earn your admiration, respect, confidence, and trust.
