30 Day Refund
Guarantee Our
30 Day refund guarantee begins on the date of shipment to the customer. Refundable
items must be returned within the 30 day period from the date of
shipping to the customer. Items
returned to us must be
pre-authorized, pre-approved for return by email from us. Without
pre-approval packages will not be accepted but will be returned
to the senders. The
guarantee does
not cover
customer damage, wear, or accidents to the jewelry or any part
of the jewelry. Diamonds, precious and/or semi-precious and/or lab-created
and/or synthetic stones are not covered against accidental breakage
or damage in
any form. Customer errors in ring size are not covered. Questions
about ring repairs and re-sizing are answered here: repairs. Rings
that have been engraved or antiqued cannot be exchanged,
returned or refunded. Engraved rings have melt value only. Rings
lost, replaced and then found do not qualify for any refund
of the new replacement ring. Such a refund is an unfair
and expensive penalty for us. We suggest keeping the "found"
ring as a "backup" for the future. Order
cancellations are treated exactly the same as above unless the
order
or part of the order is cancelled within 24 hours after the order has
been received. Refund/Cancellation fees within 24 hours
are 5% of the total amount of the order. Orders
that are cancelled after 24 hours where the jewelry has been
cast but not finished (polished, stones set) are charged a cast
fee of 9% of the total amount of the order. These
fees are similar to "restocking" fees
but are designed to partially cover our labor and materials expenses. Each
piece is made to a customers order, we have no inventory. We
begin work on each order on the first work day morning following
receipt
and
payment
of
the order. It is important that we be notified of any changes
very soon after the order is placed.
A
25% creation, (re-stocking, handling) fee is deducted from the total
original order amount. Rings are made to order, this fee partially reduces
our loss on an order. The fee charged
us for processing credit card payments are the responsibility of the
customer in the case of refunds. Our records provide us with the
details of these fees. Although
we provide free UPS shipping for US orders, this cost, averaging
$18 per package, is part of our expense and is not refundable. The
$18 shipping cost is added to the 25% creation/re-stocking/handling
fees plus the actual credit card processing fee originally charged
for credit card payments.
Any sales
taxes are 100% refunded.
EXCHANGES:
HOW TO GET A REFUND
If
you are not satisfied with your non-custom order
you should return it, in original condition, for a refund (or exchange) within
30 days of shipment. Just follow the instructions
below:
1.
Send a prompt E-mail message to us
soon after your package is delivered. Include the invoice
number and mention that you want to return your purchase for a refund
or exchange.
2.
Send your properly packaged item(s) back to us, signature required,
insured and prepaid via any express courier (FedEx, UPS, etc.) at the
address
shown at the top of this page. The package should clearly
display the RMA number (Returned Merchandise Authorization) that was
sent to you and a note with the RMA number should also be included inside
the
package. Note:
The returned item(s) must be undamaged and in their original condition.
Be certain that package is sent "Signature
Required." Customers and their
shippers are financially responsible for insuring that packages are delivered
to and signed for by a responsible party. Note: Airborne Express
often leaves packages in doorways without seeking signatures. We
will not accept responsibility for unsigned shipments. Always insist
that the package be sent "Signature Required."
3.
If you are requesting an exchange just order the item online in the
usual way and mention the fact that it is an exchange in the "Special Instructions/Comments" part of the order
form. We'll process the new order after we have received the
item you are returning. We will make the appropriate additional
charge to your credit card or send you a check or credit your credit
card for the difference depending on the individual case. We
will always do whatever is fair, reasonable and appropriate.
Refund Summary:
Shipping charges are not refundable and are deducted
from refunds.
Sales
taxes are 100% refunded.
A
25% creation fee (casting, polishing, stone setting) is deducted from
the total original order amount. (This partially defrays the financial
loss that we take in refunding made to order items.) Salaries paid
to our jewelry staff are a major part of our cost in creating your jewelry. Our
$18 shipping expense is not refundable and is also deducted from the
amount of all refunds/exchanges.
The
item must be returned to us, in original condition, within 30
calendar days of shipment to the customer. UPS or other shipper
records will be used to determine the exact date of delivery.
Our jewelry is always made to order from scratch. We have no "stock" (inventory). Individually
handcrafting jewelry involves considerable time, labor and expense on
the part of every company such as ours. Although we get few returns, each
refund is a net loss for us. We do not offer returned rings
for sale as "new". The
point of us explaining this is to emphasize that your selection
and
purchase is worthy of your serious attention. We
always honor our 30 day refund guarantee. It is a
question of our commitment to responsible business ethics and
behavior. We
ask only that you make your choices wisely, thoughtfully.
Ask
questions about your selections. Are you buying for yourself
or as a gift? Give us details and we'll do our best to guide
you wisely and in your best interests. At least half of
all refunds would not have been necessary if the customers had given
their choices deeper and more serious consideration.

Custom
orders cannot be exchanged or refunded. As with
regular orders we provide free adjustments, where physically
possible, as needed (size, raising or lowering mountings (where possible),
etc.) during the first 30 days. Custom orders, including specially
ordered precious and/or semi-precious stones are the financial
responsibility of the customer. Engraved rings are customized
orders and cannot be refunded, returned or exchanged.

AN EXCHANGE:
You
will receive a prompt return email which will contain a unique RMA
number (return merchandise authorization).
If you don't receive a reply within 24 hours it
probably means that we did not receive your email. Send it again.
Credit card processing fee is deducted from refunds.
