For BEST results you should PRINT this page and refer
to it BEFORE and AFTER you download the CelticSlideshows.zip file.Shortly after you click on the download link you will receive a warning that looks similar to the sample warning file one shown below. This warning DOES NOT mean that this file is dangerous. It is 100% safe for you to download and use. Warnings like this are STANDARD. Nowadays such warnings are shown when any .zip and .exe files are about to be downloaded or opened. This .zip file was created entirely by us, MCR, MY CELTIC RINGS. It contains our Slide shows only. It does NOT contain a virus or spyware or malicious code of any kind. The proper response to this warning is to click on the "Save" button and then select a place on your hard drive as described below this image. Note: There are times when you should be suspicious and concerned about the safety of a file offered for download, but this is not such a time.
I suggest that the slideshows.zip file be unzipped into a NEW directory on your hard drive. Give the directory a name that will be easy to find or recognize, maybe something like: "CelticSlideshows".
Once the above is done (takes only seconds) you can just click on the START icon in this new directory to start playing the Slide shows
If you would like to be able to run the Slide shows from your desktop, just follow these 2 easy steps to put a START icon on your desktop:
1. Make a copy of the START icon (right click the icon and then left click COPY).
2. Go to your desktop an position your mouse on a blank area of the desktop and click the right mouse button and then left click PASTE. This will put a copy of the START icon on your desktop.
You're done! Now just clicking the START icon on your desktop will automatically begin the slide shows just as though they were on a CD.
When the program begins you are given a choice of Irish melodies, mellow, lively, or no music at all. Whichever your choice, music or no music, it cannot be changed without restarting slideshow. As an alternative, if the music is playing and you do not enjoy it you can use the controls for your speaker system to lower the volume or turn off the sound completely.
Would you like to put the CelticSlideShow on a CD? Easy. Just "burn" [copy] the entire contents of your new SlideShow directory onto any CD. One of the parts of the show enables the CD to start playing automatically; another part will cause the show to show up as our Celtic Knot logo.
